How Meditation Changed My Life

I didn’t start meditating because I wanted to become enlightened. I started because I was stressed out, struggling to remember things, and I knew something needed to change.

At the time, I was working hard, doing everything I was “supposed” to do—but it felt like life was running me, not the other way around. I began researching ways to improve memory and reduce stress, and everything I found kept pointing back to the same place: meditation.

To be honest, I didn’t know what that meant beyond someone sitting cross-legged in silence. But I was open—and desperate enough to try.

That openness led me to Kundalini meditation, an ancient practice rooted in breath, movement, and energy activation. I had no idea what I was tapping into at the time—I just knew it worked. I felt clearer, calmer, and more grounded after every session.

Then I found the Gaia network- which led me to checking out Interviews with Extra-Dimensionals- an amazing series hosted by Reuben Langdon, after that I discovered Joe Dispenza, and everything clicked.

I had already gravitated toward Kundalini, and was doing an Ayurvedic Coaching Certification program when synchronicity led me to 'Rewired', a series that explains the science behind why meditation works the way it does, as conducted by Joe Dispenza and his team of researchers.

Once I understood how meditation impacts the brain, the nervous system, and our ability to create new outcomes—I was hooked. It wasn’t about controlling my thoughts. It was about learning to observe them, to re-center, and to stop outsourcing my peace and power to outside circumstances.

Through meditation, I learned how to create my reality from within—not through force, but through focus.

I’ve since discovered that I’m Aphantasiac—I can’t create images in my mind. That might seem like a disadvantage in a world of vision boards and “see it to believe it” mantras… but in truth, it just helped me master meditation in a different way. I feel. I sense. I know.

What I’ve Gained Since I Started:

  • Better memory and clarity

  • Stronger communication and emotional awareness

  • Peace under pressure

  • Creative breakthroughs

  • A deeper connection with my soul—and my partner

Meditation didn’t just calm me down. It woke me up.

Full-Circle Moment

I recently finished co-authoring a metaphysical sci-fi book series with my husband, and I can say without a doubt: we couldn’t have done it without the tools we’ve picked up from meditation, self-awareness, and working through our own growth.

We’re still in the thick of it—parenting, working, building, and more—but we’re more connected, more present, and more joyful than ever before.

And it all started with a breath… and a willingness to try something new.
